Even though most of us have been out of school for many years the first week after the Labor Day long weekend still feels like the start of a new year. While there won’t be a pack of new crayons waiting for you, why not get this ‘new year’ off to a great start by attending a conference on one of today’s most interesting and pertinent subjects. The Cloud Computing and Virtualization Conference will be held September 7-9 at the Walter E. Washington Conference Center in Washington, D.C.
The conference brings together practitioners, early-adopter agencies and leading industry enterprises to share how technology solutions can reduce costs, realize efficiencies, and improve enterprise agility.
Bob Hansmann, a Senior Product Manager at Blue Coat and regular contributor to the Federal Blue Print blog, will be joining a panel of experts to discuss what it’s like to implement cloud-based systems and services with a Federal agency. Using case examples Bob and his co-panelists, will talk through the process from addressing organizational and cultural concerns, to meeting IT requirements, and demonstrating success through performance measurements. The panel will convene on Thursday, September 8 from 11:15am-12:15pm. If you can’t make the panel, check back at the blog next week for Bob’s thoughts and comments.
Expo-day passes are free for government and military personnel and you can register online. The Blue Coat Federal team looks forward to seeing you there!
